The start of a new school year, new job, new relationship. Its both teeming with potential and pitfalls. The unknown is both terrifying and tremendous. This is exactly how I feel right now. My entire life has found me seeking outdoor pursuits. Hunting, fishing, hiking, gathering, learning. A reason wasn't needed to be out; a reason was needed to come back. I often talked of doing more with my passion of being outside, but I was always scared to jump. I was scared to fail, and more than anything, I was scared to succeed.Beginnings always come with mixed emotions. The start of a new school year, new job, new relationship. I often talked of doing more with my passion of being outside, but I was always scared to jump. I was scared to fail, and more than anything, I was scared to succeed.

My fiancé, who is much braver than I will ever be, is the one that gave me the strength and push to finally make the jump. Writing has always been my passion, so most of this sight will be that. Blogs, articles, possibly even a manifesto or two. Those somewhat meandering realizations you find in wild places. They seem to come to you on a gentle west wind and then fade into the brush just like the very game you’re chasing.

So in the famous last words of every redneck, “Hey y’all, watch this!” Follow the journey, the season, the successes and the failures. Learn from my mistakes so you don’t have to make the same ones. Come along for this ride, or this freefall, or maybe, just maybe, this Flight.
